Dr Elizabeth Kaziunas is a sociotechnical researcher whose work examines the social and organisational contexts of health information systems and the lived experiences of health datafication.

Elizabeth is Assistant Professor of Informatics at the Indiana University Bloomington. Previously, she was the Research Lead of the Algorithmic Care Project, a multi-year study investigating the social impacts of artificial intelligence technologies in behavioural health at the AI Now Institute, an interdisciplinary research group at New York University. Elizabeth’s research contributes to fields such as human-computer interaction (HCI), computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), science and technology studies (STS) and health informatics.

She received her PhD from the University of Michigan’s School of Information.
