Alexandru is the European Public Policy Lead at the Ada Lovelace Institute. Alexandru is based in Brussels, and is responsible for leading and delivering Ada’s influencing and engagement strategy on the draft EU AI regulations, in particular, the Artificial Intelligence Act.
Before joining he worked at a number of civil society organisations with a human rights and digital rights focus, as well as for the European Government Affairs team of a Big Tech company, coordinating their work on artificial intelligence. His background is in law, with a particular focus on European Union law, human rights and competition law. He is also currently conducting research on the impact of AI on European Union law, digital sovereignty and digital constitutionalism.
